We are lucky to have Sarah Broom returning this year for her Christmas wreath-making workshop. The workshop will take place on Wednesday 4 December from 11:00 until 13:00. It’s #internationalcoffeeday today. A day to #celebrate the amazing people who grow, roast and make your favourite drink. The thing that gets you out of bed in the morning; gives you the determination to walk through driving rain or just leave the house when you really don’t feel like being social. This beautiful skill is belittled mercilessly in sitcoms. Never, ever, underestimate the skill involved in making a good cup of coffee, one you’ll come back for, again and again. There’s too much chain store, below par coffee out there. Appreciate your local independent coffee shop, say thanks for showing an interest in our trade and loving what we do. We appreciate it; we really do. And before you add sugar and stir, take a moment to look up, wink, and savour the moment x

Back for 2024 and we’ve sold the first jar already! The sell-out Brussels Sprout Dust and friends, Pigs-in-blankets dust and Roast Turkey Rub. Lovely stocking fillers for the friend who has everything and a jolly good addition to your own spice cupboard x

September marks the change of seasons and with the autumn equinox comes the challenge of striking the right balance of having enough bread and pastries for you when you visit and not having food left over at the end of the day. We sold out earlier than expected this weekend and we are sorry if you missed out. You can order ahead (link in bio) and we’ll hold your order ready for you to pick up before midday.

With September comes a change of pace and time to make more granola. Peanut butter will be back soon too x

We had some exciting news yesterday - our white and granary sourdough loaves have both won Taste of the West Gold Awards. We’re all rather chuffed! We have an amazing team at the bakery, and our Head Baker, Bethany, is at the heart of all we do. She’s super-talented and super-modest too 🧡 This is without doubt already a challenging year and we are so grateful for your support of our little bakery. Hope your weekend is a good one x
